Mr. Laaker Gets Hoodwinked!

(New York) – In what was noted to make him “none too happy,” Micah Laaker discovered his recent mural-making endeavors were to be brought to fruition by local corporations instead of schoolchildren.

Mr. Laaker agreed to creating the artwork for Brooklyn Public School #28, also known as “Warren Prep” for New York Cares’ Volunteer Day. What Mr. Laaker apparently was unaware of was that the children of said P.S. #28 would not be participants in said Volunteer Day. Having already enrolled the services of good friend Paul Chan to assist in the application of the mural artwork to the immensely large schoolyard wall under the guise of many happy children engaged in the process of school beautification, Mr. Laaker was reported to “feel like a chump.”

Many acquaintances encouraged Mr. Laaker to ask more questions before getting as excited as he had and making “crazy suppositions.” Mr. Laaker was last seen thanking these acquaintances for their advice.
