Wiley Releases “Photoshop CS in 10 Simple Steps or Less”
(New York City) – After nearly 9 months in development, John Wiley & Sons Publishing has released "Photoshop CS in 10 Simple Steps or Less," a new title written by Micah Laaker and Christopher Schmitt.
"Photoshop CS in 10 Simple Steps or Less," is available at most large bookstore chains, such as Barnes & Noble and Borders, as well as online at Amazon ($17.49).
Comprised of 275 tasks (each detailing in 10 steps or less how to overcome a specific problem), the book helps both new and upgrading users with many of Adobe Photoshop CS’s most common uses.
The book is divided into seventeen parts, described as follows:
- Photoshop Basics.
- The Work Area.
- Color Essentials.
- Color Adjustments.
- Selections.
- Path Essentials.
- Transformations.
- Painting Essentials.
- Advanced Painting Techniques.
- Channels and Masks.
- Layer Essentials.
- Layer Styles and Shape Layers.
- Type.
- Filters.
- Automations.
- Print Essentials.
- For the Web: ImageReady.
Knowing that a large percentage of Photoshop’s users are not designers, the book was written to serve a wide audience and does not assume a design training. Each of the 275 tasks not only shows how to accomplish the chosen issue but also includes a number of tips, notes, and cross-references to provide the reader with a bigger picture view.
Laaker and Schmitt co-authored the book during the 2003 calendar year. The book joins a select number of other titles in the 10 Simple Steps or Less line, which is a new Wiley title series.
