Mr. Laaker Served Southern Style

(New York City) – Continuing his tour of the eastern states, Micah Laaker returned from his trip to Atlanta yesterday. Having had a simple itinary of “livin’ large” through a series of incredibly fattening meals, Mr. Laaker proudly announced that he had reclaimed his former weight status. (Ed. – Readers may remember Mr. Laaker’s recent death-defying escape from the clutches of illness, as per 04/02/00‘s release.)

Mr. Laaker traveled to Atlanta, GA, to meet longtime friend Aaron Steckelberg for a weekend of food, folks, and fun. Despite Mr. Laaker’s previously unenjoyable flight to see Mr. Steckelberg (Ed. – Please see 06/16/99 for Mr. Laaker’s harrowing ordeal with Priceline.com.), East Coast flight baron AirTran provided comfortable and affordable service to and from the United States’ up-and-coming metropolis. While in Atlanta, Mr. Laaker purveyed the local foodstuff scene by imbibing in a large quantity of barbequed meats, various fried foods, and a waffle from the ill-reputed Waffle House (Ed. – known to locals as the “Awful House”).

Before leaving the hallowed halls of Georgia, Mr. Laaker took in an afternoon game of the Atlanta Braves, all the while enjoying the warm springtime temperatures not present on the previous day’s excursion to Stone Mountain. Stone Mountain, the “Dirty South’s” version of Mount Rushmore that celebrates the losers of the Civil War, provided very little heated shelter for the cold park-goers, thus encouraging Mr. Laaker and associates to hustle through their tour.
